Abstract

Investment and financial and economic relations between Ukraine and the Russian Federation are not static. Ukraine and Russia are the developing countries. They build their economies in a complex geopolitical conditions, competition and globalization of market relations, so the convergence of financial and investment is not always constructive and mutually acceptable. This situation causes the evaluation of the relevance of this activity on the Ukrainian stock market and the formation of conclusions aimed at improving cooperation in this area.

The article provides a historical, statistical and economic analysis of the formation of the Ukrainian stock market, and also provides an assessment of the influence of these processes on Russian infrastructure organizations and large investors. Based on the analysis, suggestions for improvement of the Ukrainian stock market, with the active participation of Russian capital and technology were generated.

Research has shown a significant potential of the Ukrainian securities market, which could further increase by several times, but it is necessary not only to rethink the past misconduct, and consider future challenges and problems. Therefore it is suggested to take into account the need for a systematic and long-term approach to the formation of the liquidity of the stock market of Ukraine. In addition, it is appropriate to further improve the legislation to create the new institutions of the stock market. Need to change the way we work with companies-issuers and to produce a wide range of tools Ukrainian securities market.
