Abstract
The article considers the essence of the category of leasing and its influence on the development of small and medium-sized businesses in the northern region with harsh climatic conditions, poor infrastructure, especially transport and energy. The practice of state regulation in the field of leasing equipment in the development of entrepreneurship is analyzed. The article describes the activity of leading leasing company of the Republic Sakha (Yakutia).
