Abstract
The state and features of the concept of sustainable development of the world and Ukraine on the basis of the metric, which was proposed by the World Data Center for Geoinformatics and Sustainable Development (WDC-Ukraine) were analyzed in the article. Country-leaders of ratings of sustainable development for 2005-2013 years and most important factors that determine the change in position of Ukraine as а whole and its regions in the ratings of sustainable development were defined.
