ENERGY FACTOR IN THE FOREIGN POLICY PROCESS OF THE SOUTH CAUCASUS

Abstract

The article examines the close intercommunication of the states of South Caucasus in the structure of a regional system of energy and political security. Resorting to the comparative analysis of the position of Azerbaijan, Georgia, Armenia, and also Russia, Turkey and Iran, the author reveals the current approaches of these states to the decision of the problems of regional security. The author comes to a conclusion that for the present day, until there are no conditions for the creation of institutional structures that promote the establishment of stability and strengthen regional security of South Caucasus.
