Abstract
The article is devoted to estimation of the state and basic problems of functioning and development tourism in Ukraine as a priority and socially meaningful sector of national economy. The questions of perspective directions of development, increase socio-economic efficiency and competitiveness of the tourism industry in Ukraine, are examined.
