Azerbaijan Republic in the international arena is represented not only by the diplomatic and consular missions, also permanent missions in international organizations and special missions sent to one or the other country.

Diplomatic Service of Azerbaijan Republic has set the following goals: the implementation of foreign policy; protection of the rights and interests of Azerbaijan and its citizens; relationship of bilateral and multilateral political, economic and cultural relations with the countries of the world; respect for human rights; observance and development of international law; peace, as well as regional and global security.
