Abstract
The article discusses general theoretical basis of the purchasing logistics business process strategy development, defines essence of the scientific component of the concept – «strategy», determines purchasing strategy main categories classification, covers the question regarding the use of corporate purchasing strategy for the purpose of process efficiency improvement (as an example of «Federal-Mogul Powertrain Vostok» company). The significance of the intellectual capital and human resources impact on the organization competitive advantages has been defined. Due to the lack of consistent approach concerning the «strategy» concept definition, the analysis of the existing scientific studies regarding this issue has been done; the peculiarities of the different approaches have been determinated. The key characteristics of the purchasing logistics strategic planning have been analyzed; basic criteria and factors have been noted. The importance of risk assessment during the purchasing strategy development has been defined. The main criteria and key characteristics of the risks identification have been determinate. It has been noted that in the modern context of economics dynamic development, the key factor that might be defined is the flexible approach of company management to the issue of strategies development and systematic review of company policies, which are directly related to external environmental factors. The requirement of such approach has been defined as in purchasing process strategic management within the overall logistics system, as also in other subsystems of the company's management.
